    If you are the owner of a small business located in a “certified” historic building, you may be eligible to receive tax credits for rehabilitation work to that building. These tax credits for income-producing buildings is 20% of qualified rehabilitation expenditures (QREs) against federal income taxes and 15-25% against state income taxes. Learn how you may take advantage of this benefit. Ben Walker, National Register and Survey Specialist, and Jeff Adolphsen, Senior Restoration Specialist, with the North Carolina State Historic Preservation Office, will speak to about the National Register of Historic Places in relation to the historic rehabilitation tax credit programs, and the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
