Cybersecurity in today’s world is an ongoing concern. This is especially true for small businesses. To address these concerns, the Richmond Community College Small Business Center is offering a FREE three-hour seminar designed to help you protect not only your own information but also that of your clients. The first part of this seminar will be conducted by Daniel Farmer, Regional IT Supervisor for the Court System of North Carolina. This will be followed by a round table question and answer session featuring panel members from banking, health care and the legal profession. This event will cover the following topics: • What is cybersecurity from a small business point of view? • What are the current trends in cybersecurity that would impact your business? • How much cybersecurity does a small business need? • What does a small business need to do now in reference to cyber security? Daniel Farmer works as Regional IT Supervisor for the Court System of North Carolina and is a US Army Veteran. Robin Hinson will be representing the banking industry and is Senior Vice President & Information Security Officer of First Bank in Pinehurst. Eric Harper is Director of Infrastructure Services at FirstHealth of the Carolinas and will address security as it relates to healthcare.
