Welcome to the Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce Online Job Board. This service is designed to assist our Chamber members, as well as provide opportunities for those seeking employment in Scotland County.

We have several options available for you to choose from.

For our Chamber members, all of these services are included with your membership investment. For non-Chamber members, there is a nominal fee charged to provide this service. For individuals seeking employment these services are provided free of charge.

The Chamber is providing these services as a link to businesses with job openings. We are not acting as an employment service and we make no legal representations of either the companies posting job openings nor the individuals posting resumes.

NEW GENERATION CAREERS

Are you between the ages of 18 and 30? Are you looking for a job? Are you a Scotland County resident?

The Chamber has been awarded a New Generation Careers grant from the North Carolina Rural Center.  This grant will provide educational opportunities, on-the-job training and potential employment with local employers.

These opportunities include positions in local government; the healthcare system; construction; and heating, cooling, and electrical.

Have the career you have dreamed about, or find one that you never imagined.

Start the pathway to your career by:
      Filling out an application with a photo ID
      Commit to the educational opportunities offered to you
      Commit to at least six weeks of on-the-job training.

 Register now with our online job search system, Brave Opportunities, by visitinghttps://www.myinterfase.com/uncp/employer/. This system is used for posting jobs, searching resumes, and for registering for career fairs.  Brave Opportunities is free to employers!

Information Sessions

 Employers interested in providing company and job/internship information to groups of students can schedule on-campus information sessions.  The Career Center staff will schedule a location and promote the information session to students. In addition, faculty from related academic areas can be contacted to coordinate opportunities for employers to speak to students within the academic classroom.   Please contact the office at least 2 weeks in advance of the proposed session date.

On-Campus Recruitment

Employers are encouraged to schedule interviews with graduating seniors and alumni on campus during both fall and spring semesters (September-November; February-April).  Recruiters should contact our office at least 3 weeks prior to the proposed interview date. Comfortable interview facilities are available and interviews are typically scheduled every 30 minutes. Group seminars may also be scheduled.
